AUBURN, Mich. (AP) - Authorities in Bay County say a drunken driver crashed an SUV into a house, killing a man who lived there and injuring his wife.

WSGW-AM says the crash happened early Sunday in Auburn, about 10 miles west of Bay City.

Sheriff's deputies say the crash killed a 41-year-old man and say his 42-year-old wife was airlifted to Saginaw's Saint Mary's of Michigan Medical Center, where she was in stable condition.

Deputies say the 21-year-old driver failed to stop at a stop sign, ran over a curb and struck a corner of the house.

The names of the couple and the driver weren't immediately released.
