Posted: Updated:

Playing indoors for the second consecutive game, Lourdes University's women's lacrosse team dropped a 24-5 decision to fifth-ranked Davenport late on Saturday night at Detroit Country Day School in Beverly Hills, Mich.

Faith Fisher (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview H.S.) scored three times for the Gray Wolves while Katie Cerveny (Erie, Mich./Mason Senior H.S.) tallied two more as Lourdes tallied its highest scoring output of the season.

Davenport scored the game's first five goals less than six minutes into the contest before Fisher scored on a free position shot to put the Gray Wolves on the scoreboard.  Fisher scored her second goal at the 17:11 mark of the first half and Cerveny added a goal before halftime, but the Panthers led 17-3 at the break.

Each player added a goal in the second half to close out the scoring for Lourdes.

Davenport outshot Lourdes 42-8 for the night, including a 31-6 edge on goal.  Cerveny and Fisher each had four shots to account for all of the Gray Wolves' attempts.

Amanda Kaczmarek (Berkey, Ohio/Evergreen H.S.) made seven saves in goal for Lourdes.

Emily DeVries scored five times for Davenport (3-0, 1-0 WHAC) while Taylor Balch had six assists as part of a seven-point night.

Lourdes (0-3, 0-2) will return to action on Monday afternoon as the Gray Wolves travel to Lorain, Ohio to face Oberlin.  The first draw will take place at 1 p.m. at All Pro Athletic Center.
