Lourdes scored 24 runs over two games on Friday afternoon and earned a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference doubleheader split with Madonna at Illitch Ballpark in Livonia, Mich. The Gray Wolves rallied from seven runs down to force extra innings in the opener before falling 16-15 in 10 innings, but rebounded for a 9-4 victory in the nightcap.
Madonna scored in every inning except the ninth of game one. The Crusaders built a 10-3 lead after five innings before Lourdes began to mount its comeback. The Gray Wolves scored twice in the sixth and twice in the seventh, but still trailed 14-7 heading to the eighth inning.

Jake Conklin (Waterville, Ohio/Anthony Wayne H.S.) then put Lourdes on top with a two-run single.
The Crusaders tied the game in the bottom of the eighth with an unearned run, and took advantage of Lourdes fifth error of the game in the 10th to plate the game-winner.
