Lourdes ended its two-game losing streak on Saturday afternoon, defeating Lawrence Tech 16-9 at the Aquinas Athletic Field in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Dylan Gill (Holland, Ohio/Saint Francis H.S.) scored six times while Danny Bichsel (Westerville, Ohio/North H.S.) added five goals and two assists as the Gray Wolves scored 15 or more goals for the ninth time in 12 games.
Lawrence Tech (9-2) was within one, 5-4, after scoring just 29 seconds into the second quarter when Lourdes took control of the game. The Gray Wolves scored the next six goals on the way to building a 12-5 lead at halftime. Lourdes increased its lead to 15-5 after three quarters on the way to defeating the Blue Devils for the second time this season.
Jared Yoshino (Toledo, Ohio/Southview H.S.) scored once and added three assists for a four-point night while Andrew DiMartini (Sylvania, Ohio/Southview H.S.), Avery Levonuk (Philadelphia, Pa./Harriton H.S.), Tony DiMartini (Sylvania, Ohio/Saint Francis H.S.), and James Sandels (Copley, Ohio/Revere H.S.) each added a goal as well.
Conner Mishler (Lambertville, Mich./Saint John’s H.S.) made 13 saves in front of the cage for the Gray Wolves as Lourdes held a 30-22 advantage in shots on goal.
Bryan Burnham led Lawrence Tech with three goals while Adam Gohl made 14 saves in goal.
Lourdes (11-2) will now await the pairings for the CCLA tournament to determine their next opponent and game date.
