Suspect arrested for shooting outside Toledo community center

Posted: Updated:
Toledo Police are trying to pinpoint what prompted a man to shoot another in broad daylight. The victim is now recovering from serious injuries. It happened just after 9 a.m. Friday morning in front of Saint Paul's Community Center.

Houston Hart, 27, is locked up, charged with felonious assault.

Volunteers at St. Paul's say Hart is a cook at the shelter.

Officers say Hart and Louis Barton got into an argument outside the center. Hart allegedly grabbed a gun from his car and shot Barton three times, including once in the throat.

Hart then fled the scene. Police arrested him outside Lasalle Apartments.

He will face a judge Monday.
