2014 Glass City Marathon Road Closures

The Medical Mutual Glass City Marathon, Half Marathon, Relay and 5K race will be held this Sunday, April 27th. The race will begin in University of Toledo area, and go through Ottawa Hills and Sylvania.

Below are the road closures and times for drivers to take into consideration:

Road closures and controlled traffic in Toledo at race start:
- University Hills & Bancroft - Closed from 6:15 AM to 11:00 AM
- Secor from Kenwood to Bancroft - Closed from 6:45 AM to 11:00 AM
- Bancroft from Secor to University Hill - Closed 6:15 AM - 11:00 AM
- Kenwood & Drummond - Closed 6:45 AM - 9:00 AM
- Kenwood & Secor - Closed 6:45 AM - 11:00 AM
- Brantford from Orchard to Drummond - Closed 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Ottawa Hills, some roads closed and highly congested, Indian Road closed:
- Kenwood from Secor to Ottawa Hills HS- Closed from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM
- Indian from Secor to Talmadge - Closed from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM
- Various roads within Ottawa Hills from Talmadge to Exmoor, controlled traffic from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM
- Brantford from Orchard to Drummond - Closed from 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM
- Exmoor in Ottawa Hills to the main entrance of Wildwood on Central will be congested. Controlled traffic. Avoid - 7:15 AM - 12:30 PM
- Central from Reynolds to Corey will be congested, controlled traffic avoid 7:15 AM - 12:30 PM
 
In Sylvania, the roads will be open, but very congested with controlled traffic:
- King between Brint and Central. Controlled traffic. Avoid - 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
- Intersection of Sylvania and King. Controlled traffic. Avoid - 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
- Intersection of King and Brint. Controlled traffic. Avoid 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
- Convent near Lourdes. Controlled traffic. Avoid 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
- Vicksburg closed from 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
- Olander Park and Tam O Shanter will be congested from 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
- Entrance to Olander will be closed from 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
- Sylvania from Olander Park to Corey. Lane restrictions in place. Avoid 8:15 AM - 11:30 AM
- Sylvania and McCord. Controlled Traffic. Avoid 8:15 AM - 11 :30 AM

Heading back into Toledo, Corey closed, Corey exit closed
- Corey between Sylvania and Central - Closed 8:15 AM - 12:30 PM
- Corey exit from I-475 - Closed 8:15 AM - 12:30 PM
- Bancroft and University Parks Trail. Cannot cross trail - 7:45 AM - 12:30 PM
- Richards at University Parks Trail. Cannot cross trail - 7:45 AM - 12:30 PM

The child was not wearing shoes, so police don't know if she stepped on the snake before it bit her leg.
