The Bulldogs finished their 2014 campaign with a double header at Albion College. Adrian finished their season on a high note as they swept the Britons 14-0 and 3-1. Adrian finished with an overall record of 17-15 and a MIAA record of 7-9.
Game one saw the Bulldogs come alive with their bats as they scored 14 runs and totaled 18 hits. Adrian started quickly as they scored three runs in the first followed by one run in the second. The Bulldogs then capped their win with five runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings as they cruised to a 14-0 win in five innings.
Brooke Stewart (4-4) earned the victory as she pitched the complete game and allowed only one hit and struck out seven.
Jessica Sarch went 3-for-4 with four runs scored and one RBI. Katie Dewyre went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBI. Karissa DeVore went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and five RBI.
Game two was highlighted by a close game that was decided by only two runs. The Britons started the scoring by putting one run across the plate in the top of the first. Adrian then responded as they tied the game in the bottom of the second as Ravin Toner hit a sacrifice fly to center field that score Rebecca Greco. The teams remained tied until the fifth inning when the Bulldogs scored twice to take the lead for good. DeVore hit a two-run home run to center field that scored Dewyre. The Bulldogs would carry this big hit to a 3-1 victory and a sweep of the Britons.
Kelsey Meyer (7-7) made the start and earned the victory in the circle for Adrian as she pitched six innnigs and struck out six batters. Kaitlin Lock (1) earned the save as she pitched one scoreless inning and did not allow a hit.
Kaitlyn Schneider went 3-for-4. Dewyre went 1-for-3 with a run scored. DeVore went 1-for-2 with a home run, a run scored and two RBI.
