The Bowling Green State University women's golf team wrapped up its 2013-14 season on Sunday with a final round of 323 at the 2014 Mid-American Women's Golf Championships hosted by Ball State University at the Hawthorns Golf & Country Club in Fishers, Ind.
BGSU carded rounds of 330, 306 and 323 over the weekend to finish in eighth-place overall with a combined 54-hole team score of 959, +95.
The Falcons second round team score of 306 was the lowest single round team score for a BGSU team in their MAC Championships history.
For the second straight day, BGSU was led by junior Patricia Holt. Holt carded a Falcon low round 76, +4, on the final round of play to finish the three-day event with rounds of 84, 73 and 76 and a final 54-hole score of 233, +17. The junior, who led Bowling Green with seven birdies over the 54-holes of play, finished in a tie for 14th-place overall.
Sophomore Lily Bartell finished in a tie for 27th-place overall, as she posted rounds of 81, 78 and 83 to finish with a 54-hole tournament score of 242, +26, while freshman Mikayla Baer turned in rounds of 88, 75 and 80 to place in a tie for 32nd overall with her combined score of 243, +27.
Wrapping up her third MAC Championships appearance, junior Shelby Wilson shot a final round 86, +14, on Sunday. Combined with her previous two rounds of 82 and 80, Wilson finished in a tie for 37th-place overall with her combined score of 248, +32.
