Posted: Updated:

DETROIT (AP) - Detroit police are on the lookout for a head belonging to a big bobblehead of Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard.

The head of the roughly 5-foot-tall statue was reported missing around 5 a.m. Thursday from Campus Martius park in downtown.

Police say a group of people was seen taking the head. Investigators plan to review surveillance footage to try to identify suspects.

The bobblehead is one of several of sports figures on display in the city.
