Posted: Updated:
A 32-year-old Romulus, Michigan man is dead after a triple shooting early Sunday morning in Monroe County.

The Monroe county Sheriff says it happened around 3:30 a.m. in the 14000 block of Rawsonville Road in London Township. A 38-year-old Brownstown Township woman and a 35-year-old Taylor man were also shot.

Officers say the Romulus man was involved in a fight with the Taylor man. Witnesses said they tried to break up the fight, but the situation escalated. The owner of the home, a 39-year-old London Township resident, retrieved his pistol from the home and fired warning shots into the ground.

The group separated briefly, but fighting resumed. The Romulus man took a gun from his vehicle and shot the Taylor man in his upper chest. The homeowner then shot the Romulus man one time in the chest, killing him. The woman was also shot in the hand.

The Taylor man and the woman were taken to the hospital. The names of the involved parties are being withheld at this time.

If you have any information regarding the shooting, call  The Monroe County Sheriff at 734-240-7530.
