Bond set at $1 million for Toledo murder suspect

Posted: Updated:
A Lucas County judge set bond at $1 million for the Toledo man facing a murder charge after he allegedly beat his housemate and then dumped the body on railroad tracks.

34-year-old Lecorius Reynolds is charged with killing 51-year-old Roy Roberts.

According to court documents, Reynolds admitted to killing Roberts at their home in South Toledo Friday night by hitting Roberts multiple times in the head and neck.

The two men lived together on the 100 block of Dale at a home neighbors call a halfway house for men.

Police say Reynolds told detectives he then dragged the victim’s naked body onto railroad tracks near the home at Airline and Gibbons.  The body was later run over by a train.  A Norfolk Southern train operator called police.

Reynolds remains locked up in the Lucas County Jail.  A public defender has been appointed to represent the suspect. Reynolds is next due in court on May 12th.
