A man who detectives say had been living with a 72-year-old woman at her recently deceased daughter's mobile home is now charged with murder.

Deputies with the Lucas County Sheriff's Office arrested Adam Akers, 41, on the 1900 block of Delence late Thursday morning.

Akers is charged in the murder of Judith Uyttenhove, 72, who was found stabbed multiple times inside of  the Royal Village Mobile Home Park on the 7500 block of Dorr St. in Springfield Twp.

Around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, detectives say another man who lived at the residence called 911 after he had returned from a walk and found the woman had been attacked.

That man was questioned and released by deputies, who spent hours searching for clues in the killing.

Overnight, the state Bureau of Criminal Investigation sent two teams of forensics experts and evidence technicians to Springfield Township, where they continued to process the crime scene until daybreak.
