Police investigate NFL imposter at Ohio school

Posted: Updated:

WEST CHESTER, Ohio (AP) - Police say a man who visited a southwest Ohio elementary school falsely claimed he played in the NFL.

Police in West Chester Township say no criminal charges will be filed against the man, a former student at Adena Elementary School who represented himself as an NFL player during a visit last week.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reported Wednesday that some parents kept their children from the school after news of the man's false claims emerged.

School principal Jodi Leichman tells parents in a letter that no student was threatened or harmed during the visit.

West Chester Police Captain Brian Rebholz says the man, whose name wasn't revealed, didn't have any ill intent and agreed to stay away from the school.
