Toledo man accused of abducting his girlfriend

A Toledo woman is safe tonight after she was allegedly grabbed by her throat and shoved into a car by her boyfriend. Court documents state the suspect dumped the victim on the highway.

Van Savage is wanted for allegedly abducting his girlfriend. The victim's mother who did not want to show her face says she's scared for her daughters life.

 "As a mother what's your worst fear? Of losing her. I want her to listen to me," said the victim's mother.
     
 Police say Sunday morning in the 600 block of Greenwood Savage forced the victim into his car. This neighbor who has camera's on her house is checking to see if the crime was caught on tape. The victim's mother says somehow her daughter was able to call her.  

"She started yelling mom he yanked me up in front of your house. Mom he choked me and then I heard him yelling her phone just went off. So I'm calling her phone I'm calling her phone and I'm texting him I'm calling the police, said the victim's mother.  

 According to this court document savage allegedly drove the victim around and abused her.

 "He drove her around the city was abusing her as he was driving her around she sustain injuries to her head," said Sgt.Joe Heffernan of the Toledo Police Department.
 
The victim's mother says the suspect threw her daughter out on 75 and she walked to this hotel where she got help. The couple has two kids together.

"I want him him in jail."

Police also charged the suspect with domestic violence and assault.
