Four people were shot in the 2100 block of Joffre on Sunday afternoon.

Sheymarr Noble, 22, was killed in the shooting. Emerson D. Ware, 26, was taken to Toledo Hospital for surgery, Terrelle Russell, 27, was reported in stable condition with a hand wound and Davon Ballard, 27, was stable with a wound to his leg.

Police responded to a call of persons shot just after 3 p.m. and found Ware in street, suffering from a gunshot wound. Noble had been transported to the hospital by unknown means and was pronounced dead around 3:45 p.m. The other two shooting victims were also transported to the hospital by unknown means.

Police say the trouble started when there were a large number of people outside their homes and some type of altercation broke out. During the fight, shots were fired and chaos erupted.

"When I heard several rounds of shooting, that's what really got my attention," says Jeanette Martin who has lived on the street for 32 years.  "Usually it's just the neighborhood kids and sometimes they have loud music, but other than that it's not bad."

Toledo Police Field Operations and Gang Task Force units secured the scene and assisted Mr. Ware.

The investigation is still continuing. Police ask that anyone with information call Crime Stopper at 419-255-1111.
