Justin Baker, a 5'7" point guard from Cathedral (Ind.) High School, has become the third member of next year's Owens Community College men's basketball recruiting class.
Baker averaged 20 points, seven assists, three rebounds and three steals per game as a senior for the Cathedral Irish, who finished 19-5 overall. Following the season, he was named First Team All-City and Honorable Mention All-Indiana.
"You can never have enough point guards on your team," said Owens Community College men's basketball head coach Dave Clarke. "He fits our system extremely well, he gets up and down, and he projects as a Division I player in two years."
As a junior, Baker was named First Team All-City, and he was a varsity player all four years at Cathedral. Moreover, he played in the City vs County All-Star game.
Baker joins Darren Groves, a 6'8" forward from Dayton Thurgood Marshall, and C.J. Bussey, a 6'1" guard from Toledo Central Catholic, as one of three members in next year's recruiting class.
