2 councilman want more street money next time

Posted: Updated:
Toledo City Council has approve money for capital improvements this year but two district councilmembers do not like the allocation for road repair.

District Three councilman Mike Craig (D) says his district will get $190,000 to pave less than one mile of road.

District One councilman Tyrone Riley (D) will get 8 miles of road repaired but it's areas of Dorr Street and Douglas which border the University of Toledo; none of the work will be done in residential areas.

Craig has complained about chronic neglect toward his district when it comes to money for street repairs.

Riley appreciates the $1.6 million spent by the city in his district but both Riley and Craig have been promised by Mayor D. Michael Collins (I) their districts will get proper attention, in 2015.
