Assistance Dogs for Achieving Independence has paired hundreds of dogs and people with disabilities in recent years. It takes about two years and $20,000 to train each of the dogs.

There's an easy way you can help raise money for the program. It's a 5k race and a one mile walk called The Race for Wags and Wheels. Jenny Barlos is the Client Services Director,"It is $30 to register and all the money comes back to our program. What do you use the money for? To place additional service and therapy dogs with people."

The Race for Wags and Wheels is Saturday, June 7 at The University of Toledo. It starts in parking lot 10 near The Glass Bowl. Registration starts at 8 am. The race and walk start at 9:15 am. They're hoping to raise awareness and about $5,000. Click here to register.

Two students have been arrested in connection to threats made against Tecumseh High School. Police say investigators have also searched their homes for evidence. The investigation is still ongoing, however police say they have determined the students were never going to carry out the threat. The Lenawee County prosecutor's office tells us at least one of the suspects is 16 years old.
