Posted: Updated:
Three members of the Lucas County Board of Elections will lose their jobs.  Secretary of State Jon Husted says effective immediately, members Ron Rothenbuhler, Jon Stainbrook and Tony DeGidio have been removed from their positions on the board.

John Irish has been suspended until new board members are sworn in.  Director Gina Kaczala will remain as interim director until that time, as well.

Husted has also appointed Elections Services Manager LaVera Scott the interim deputy director.

Members of Husted's office will conduct regular conference calls with board leaders to make sure day-to-day operations continue.  His office staff will also be on site as needed until the appointment of new board members.
