8-year-old boy dies after being pulled from Olander lake

An 8-year-old boy is dead after disappearing at Olander Park.

Police say Mustafa Ali was with family at Sylvania's Olander Park when his parents lost sight of him.

The family reported that their son was missing, sparking a search that lasted hours.

Last night the dive team pulled the boy from the water and he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday to determine an official cause of death.

    Ohio health officials have confirmed that two women have been hospitalized with the West Nile virus in state's first human cases. The Ohio Department of Health said Wednesday a 24-year-old woman in Muskingum County and a 78-year-old woman in Cuyahoga County have been hospitalized with encephalitis. That's an inflammation of the brain caused when someone is bitten by an infected mosquito.
