Fifth Third E-bus at Old West End festival

Posted: Updated:
This year at the Old West End Festival there are five historic homes and mansion tours.  Including the Libbey house, which is the home of Toledo's glass history.

Another place to stop and see is the Fifth Third E-bus.

You can get a free credit report, apply for a job, and get a health screening.

The bank built the bus to bring help to people who do not have access to those resources.

The bus will be at the festival Sunday from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.  It will be parked at  Parkside & Woodruff.

According to the press release:
The eBus is Fifth Third’s innovative solution to meet the financial needs of underserved populations by bringing banking and community services directly to those in need. The eBus is a 40-foot retrofitted city bus equipped with Internet-accessible computer workstations and staffed by professionals who provide much needed services. The two eBus Empowerment Mobiles travel city to city throughout Fifth Third Bank's market area on an annual basis. Originally launched in 2004, the eBus initiative demonstrates the Bank's commitment to financial empowerment.  It goes beyond teaching personal finance to students in school classrooms -- which the Company does through its sponsorship of Dave Ramsey's Foundations in Personal Finance curriculum and the Fifth Third Bank Young Bankers Club, because bankers literally hit the streets to provide that all-important access to quality financial services and guidance.  The eBus will also be making a second trip to Northwest Ohio this year July 15-19.
