Lions Release CB Chris Houston

The Detroit Lions announced today that they have released CB Chris Houston.

Originally drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the second round (41st overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft out of Arkansas, Houston spent the first three seasons of his career (2007-09) in Atlanta before coming to Detroit via trade in 2010. Last season, he played in and started 12 games with the Lions and finished with 44 tackles (38 solo), nine pass defenses and two interceptions (34 yards).

In seven NFL seasons, Houston has played in 99 career games (91 starts) and his career totals include 370 tackles (320 solo), 13 interceptions (275 yards) and three touchdowns, as well as 79 pass defenses, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
