Detroit police say 12-year-old boy is missing

DETROIT (AP) - Detroit police are looking for a 12-year-old boy who hasn't been seen by his family for days.

Charlie Bothuell is black, 5 feet 4 inches tall and 120 pounds. He was wearing a red T-shirt and gray pajama pants when last seen a week ago.

The boy's father tells WXYZ-TV that he took a lie-detector test at the request of police. Charlie Bothuell Sr. is appealing to the public for help.

The boy's mother, Africa Shippings, says she can "feel the separation."
