Landscaper equipment stolen during job

Posted: Updated:
Two local landscapers are looking for your help, after someone robbed them during the middle of a job.

It happened on Wednesday afternoon near the 2000th block of Manoa Road in Sylvania Township.  The owners of Pro Lawn and Landscape, LTD. say they were out trimming a yard when one of them looked back and saw their brand new pick up truck and equipment trailer were gone.  The stolen items are estimated to be worth about a $100,000.

The owners are asking anyone who saw this crime to speak up.

"I went up to my partner and told him we've been robbed, everything is gone," says one of the owners who wants to remain anonymous.  "At first he thought I was joking but he looked for himself and it was all gone.  The vehicle was unlocked unfortunately, a hard lesson learned I guess. So we're definitely kicking ourselves in the rear for that mistake. But what was done was not right for these individuals to do that."

The plate number on the truck is EOR5542.  The pick up is a black 2013 GMC Sierra pick-up and the trailer holding the equipment is also new. If you have any information about this crime, call Sylvania Township police.
