– Five members of the Ohio State men’s golf team will spend June 30-July 2 competing in the 93rd Minute Men Ohio Open Championship at the Westfield Country Club. The Northern Ohio PGA hosts 272 of the finest professional and amateur golfers from the state of Ohio.
The Buckeye contingency consists of Boo Timko, Grant Weaver, Logan Jones, Josh Wick and Clark Engle. The tournament spans 54 holes, playing one round on each of the three days of competition. It was first played in 1924 and has been held annually (sans 1943) at courses across the state. Ohio State’s Jack Nicklaus won the event as an amateur in 1956, one of five amateurs to claim the crown in the tourney’s history.
