Lourdes University men’s basketball coach Andre’ Smith has announced that Otis Kemutambah has signed a letter of intent to play for the Gray Wolves beginning with the 2014-2015 season.

Kemutambah, a native of Redford, Mich., was a First Team All-Western Wayne Athletic Conference selection as a senior at Lee M. Thurston High School.  In addition, Kemutambah garnered First Team All-Observer accolades from the Observer & Eccentric newspaper and also earned Third Team All-West honors in the Detroit metropolitan area.

“Otis is an athletic wing that can defend multiple positions and is a good rebounder,” Smith said.  “He had a good senior season and displayed he can also score. Otis will compete every night on every play. We look forward to him joining the program and contributing.”

Kemutambah averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds as a senior, leading the Eagles.  He posted season highs of 24 points and 19 rebounds, helping his squad to a 16-7 record.  In 2012-2013 as a junior, Kemutambah helped Thurston win a district championship while finishing with a 19-4 record.
