Drive-by shooting leads to shootout, wreck

According to Toledo Police shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Sunday there was a drive-by shooting on Fernwood, between Groesbeck and Wells.

One man was shot in the groin. The car that fired the shots collided with two cars when trying to get away.

Two other cars began to pursue the car that fired shots.  The damaged vehicle stalled out at Lawrence and Fernwood.  One of the suspects got away.  The other was shot by someone in one of the two vehicles pursuing the damaged vehicle.

Both victims were taken to local hospitals.  

No suspects are in custody.  No names are being released.

    Crews from five departments were called out to a fire at a church in McComb Friday evening. Departments from Allen Twp., Liberty Twp., Findlay and North Baltimore assisted McComb Fire Department. The McComb fire chief says it’s unclear at this time how the fire started There were no injuries reported. Sunday services at the church have been cancelled The State Fire Marshal’s Office will investigate the cause of the fire.
