Kids set up lemonade stand to help family who lost daughter in fire

Posted: Updated:

Little Olivia Cline lost her life in a house fire early Friday morning. Rescue crews battled high heat and low visibility at the home on Van Wormer in West Toledo before they found the 5-year-old in her upstairs bedroom. She later died at the hospital.

The family asked for help with Olivia's funeral at a vigil on Friday night. We told you how one woman responded by donating a burial plot after hearing their story on 13abc,  but others are stepping up to offer assistance as well, including youngsters Kayla Kirkpatrick and Lucie Lewis.

The girls set up a lemonade stand on Seckinger near Berdan to help raise some cash to help the Clines.

Lucy says, "I saw the fire happen. I was right next to it and I really like them, so I wanted to give them money for their new house."

The girls managed to raise $50 on Saturday and will be selling lemonade again on Sunday, July 20 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

There will also be a fundraiser Sunday at Good Times Restaurant to Jackman from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
