Posted: Updated:
Toledo, OH - 2014 is within range of becoming the coldest year ever recorded in Toledo. Out of the 144 years on the record books, 1875 was the coldest ever recorded, and 1978 was the second coldest year on record. Now, 2014 is on pace to be the 3rd coldest year on the record books.

Of course we still have 4.5 months left to go in the year. However, even if temperatures do bounce back to average through December 31st, we will still end up on the top 10 list for the coldest years on record.

January was the 6th coldest January on record, February was the 7th coldest February on record, March tied the 6th coldest March on record, and July tied the 3rd coldest July ever recorded in Toledo.
