Radisson at the University of Toledo, Mahogany Room, 3100 Glendale Avenue, Toledo. Ohio 43614
Toledo, OH – 9/19/17 - On September 30, 2017, The Radisson at University of Toledo’s Mahogany Room will transform into Vegas for one night only! The family-friendly, Vegas-themed Community Gala and Fundraiser is brought to you by The Intentional Living Collective (TILC), a non-profit organization serving Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan (www.the-ILC.org). Tickets are priced at $25 and $50 and include appetizers, drink tickets, live entertainment, a bag of casino room funny money, swag bags, and more. Ticket sale proceeds support the development of the nonprofit, and all tax-deductible donations can benefit The Intentional Living Collective or any of its organizational members as directed by the donor. When you check in you’ll get a swag bag that includes, among other things, a passport that you fill with stamps from each activity (and win a prize when it’s full!), goodies, and drink tickets. Use the drink tickets included in your registration for cocktails or mocktails at the fun Cosmopolitan zone bar, which includes a free drink special for Rising Phoenix Awards nominations. Spend your funny money on blackjack or roulette while listening to the sounds of Tetra in the Monte Carlo zone. Prefer the business side of Vegas? Visit the New York New York zone to learn about organizational members of the collective, our community support programs and also to participate in a fun and engaging “business speed dating” activity. The whole family can enjoy the Paris zone featuring a photo booth, community art project, and silent auction with items like OSU v. UM tix, Toledo Zoo family membership, and Trapped Toledo gift packs up for grabs. Social media contests throughout the night provide more opportunities to win! Drop the kids off to our certified babysitters in Circus Circus for concessions, carnival games, activities, and more while you hit the 21+ zones.

The 2017 Gala is open to the public and welcomes everyone interested in connecting with other organizations and individuals that want to support the healing and evolution of our community. It will be hosted at the University of Toledo Radisson hotel at 3100 Glendale Avenue in Toledo on Saturday September 30th from 6:30 to 9:30pm and pre-registration is highly encouraged on Eventbrite at http://bit.ly/2xhvgCH. By the generosity of an anonymous donor there are a number of sponsored no-charge tickets available for those for which the fee is a barrier to attending (contact Callan@The-ILC.org).

The Intentional Living Collective, an Ann Arbor nonprofit organization serving Southeast Michigan and Northwest Ohio, is a collaborative network of organizations fostering deeper community connections and greater social impact by delivering programs and resources that give hope, inspiration, resources, education, deeper meaning and social connection to its members.

Fall Festival

Event Dates and Times

9/30/2017 - Starts: 10:00 AM - Ends: 5:00 PM
Traumatic Brain Injury Resource Center, 7430 W. Central Ave., Toledo. OH, 43617
The Traumatic Brain Injury Resource Center will host its first Fall Festival on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 10 AM to 5 PM in the parking lot in front of the Center.

This family-oriented event features:
Children’s games
Both children and adults can make a fairy garden or decorate pumpkins.
Our pumpkin patch will be stocked with both typical and exotic varieties, courtesy of Rupp Seeds.
Food with an autumnal flare will be available from our neighbors at Fowl & Fodder.
The Amazing Eli will conjure up balloon creations from 11 AM until 2 PM.

This year’s main event will be the MEGA Brain, a larger-than-life, inflatable interactive exhibit of the human brain. Visitors will have the chance to learn how the brain works from the inside out and what can happen when the brain is injured. This is a wonderful educational tool for teachers, healthcare professionals, parents, children or anyone that wants to know how the brain works.

Healthcare professionals will also be available to answer questions about brain injury and resources in our community.

We will also be offering fleece mermaid tails for sale. These one-of-a-kind items, crafted by TBI survivors, can be worn for Halloween or used to keep warm while relaxing at home as the evenings turn cooler.

Admission to the event is free. Proceeds from the event benefit the Traumatic Brain Injury Resource Center and will help to support the launch of pediatric programming. The event take place under a tent, rain or shine.
