TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Starting today, the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department will be featured on the A&E network’s “Live Rescue” program.

The show follows first responders, like EMTs and firefighters as they respond to rescue calls. Every year, TFRD responds to around 60,000 calls for fires, hazardous incidents, accidents, and water rescues.

“I’m very proud of the men and women of our department and the work they do every day protecting those who live in and visit our great city”, TFRD Chief Brian Byrd said. “We are excited to be able to be a part of the ‘Live Rescue’ program on A&E and look forward to the opportunity to highlight the great work our firefighters do every day on a national platform.”

The show airs from 9 p.m.-midnight on Fridays.
