TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Family Video announced Tuesday that the remaining 250+ locations will be closing their doors due to losses suffered over the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a release sent to the media Tuesday morning, a spokesperson for the company said, “While we have faced digital competition from Netflix and others for years, nothing has been as devastating to our business as COVID-19.”

All locations, including the five located in Toledo, have begun liquidation sales and plan to complete their shutdowns when the remaining stock of movies, video games, CBD products, and store fixtures are sold out.

“We are very thankful to have been able to provide entertainment for many family movie nights, and want to thank the people of Toledo and our incredible staff for the many years of support and service.”, says Keith Hoogland, CEO, Highland Ventures, LTD. who own Family Video.
