TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Toledo Police investigated four motorcycle crashes and two ATV accidents Tuesday, one of them fatal.

“We did have a fatal accident on 75 north bound,” Sgt. Tom LaForge said. “Appears he was driving above the speed limit. Loss control of the motorcycle and threw himself from the motorcycle.”

Now they are warning motorcyclists and drivers to pay attention and play it safe.

That includes getting the bike checked and being cautious on the road.

“Look left, look right, look left again. Watch for that one headlight. Motorcycle riders you got to look 10 seconds down the road. You got a plan ahead for these people coming out from the side streets.”

And when you’re first starting out, get some practice.

“You can’t ride beyond your skill. You have to know your limitations for the bike. That’s why I say go out and practice in that parking lot.”
