TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - A Bowling Green woman is charged with felonious assault after an alleged shooting Tuesday night.

Demetria Barboza, 34, is accused of shooting Chad Oswald, 28, at a home on the 1200 block of Halstead.

According to the criminal complaint, Oswald walked in to St. Charles Hospital in East Toledo just before midnight with a gunshot wound.

Toledo Police would later arrest Barboza, who told them she was being assaulted by Oswald, when she got ahold of a gun and shot him. She says she then drove him to the hospital.

Barboza appeared in Lucas County Court Wednesday. Bail was set at $50,000 and a preliminary hearing was set for April 6.
