BRYAN, Texas (KBTX/Gray News) - Police say a missing 7-year-old girl from Bryan, Texas, has been found safe. Her stepfather is now in custody.

Police told KBTX that 7-year-old Ana Medina was located safe in Jim Hogg County near Laredo in south Texas.

Her stepfather, 36-year-old Pedro Aranda Jimenez, is now in custody.

The Amber Alert Network Brazos Valley said Medina and Jimenez were in a 2005 Dodge Durango and possibly headed to Mexico.

Ana was last seen around 7 p.m. Tuesday at a hospital in College Station.

Bryan police have declined to release more details about the case citing an ongoing investigation.
