‘Dangerous’ inmate who escaped police custody in Ohio captured

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ohio (WTVG) - An inmate who escaped police custody in Ohio and was described by state troopers as ‘dangerous’ was arrested Sunday in West Virginia, authorities announced.
The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office said that state police in West Virginia arrested Jacob D. Davidson at 10:34 p.m. Sunday in Chapmanville, W.Va. The sheriff’s office said he is being held in a West Virginia jail until he is extradited back to Ohio.
The 38-year-old escaped from Twin Valley Behavioral Health Hospital in Columbus on December 29, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Davidson was being held on numerous felony charges in relation to a Nov. 10 shooting in Morrow County that led to a shootout with officers from the Bucyrus Police Department.
