Lima man sentenced to life in prison for shooting two people, killing one in Leipsic in 2024

LEIPSIC, Ohio (WTVG) - A man who was convicted of shooting two people, leaving one of them dead, at a truck shop in Putnam County in 2024 was sentenced on Thursday.

According to court records, Konner Dunklee, 27, of Lima appeared in court on April 17 where Judge Keith Schierloh sentenced him to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Dunklee shot two people at PGT Trucking in Leipsic around 4:00 p.m. on April 18, 2024, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. 30-year-old Farrah Croninger, of Deshler, was dead when first responders arrived at the scene. The other victim, a 54-year-old man, was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Dunklee initially pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, but he reached a plea deal with prosecutors on march 18. He pleaded guilty to aggravated murder and felonious assault.
