Megan McSweeney joined Cleveland 19 News in January 2023 as an Assignment Desk Editor and Digital Content Producer.
Megan is a Cleveland native, growing up in Avon where she attended school and was the editor for her high school newspaper. She graduated from Kent State University in May of 2022 with a degree in journalism and a minor in pre-law.
During her time at school, Megan worked on multiple student media publications, including KentWired and A Magazine. She was also president of the Kent chapter of American Association of University Women.
Before working at Cleveland 19 News, she was a reporter for West Life News and worked summers as a sailing instructor and director at Edgewater Yacht Club.
When she isn't working, she enjoys sailing competitively with her four siblings on Lake Erie, reading, and listening to her favorite podcasts. She goes home to her parents house weekly to visit her dogs Remi and Roo and watch Yellowstone with her dad.
