I am incredibly excited to be back in my hometown doing what I love! I started with 13abc as a Multimedia Journalist in August 2018. It truly is a dream come true to be reporting for the station I grew up watching!
My story with 13abc goes back to 2017 when I was an intern and fell in love with every aspect of broadcast journalism. I am very grateful for the mentors I have here who continue to support me every step of the way. I know I wouldn’t be here without them!
I got my start in television as a Multimedia Journalist Intern at WAOW-TV in Wausau, Wisconsin. I reported in the Badger State for three months before returning to Toledo.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Toledo in December 2018. Throughout my time as a Rocket, I served as the lead anchor, producer and reporter for the university’s newscast, UT:10 News. As a student reporter, I won numerous awards, including a Society of Professional Journalists Mark of Excellence Award and the College Broadcasters Inc. National Best News Reporting Award.
In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with my little sister, playing with my dogs and laughing with my friends and family. I’m also a dedicated volunteer for the National Eating Disorders Association and the founder of my own organization, Girl in the Mirror, that empowers young women to recognize their true beauty.
I love sharing your stories! If you have any ideas, let’s get connected! Feel free to write me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
