10-year-old boy dies in Michigan crash

Hudson, Mich. (WTVG) - A 10-year-old is killed in a two-vechile crash in Lenawee County Friday.

According to Michigan State Police, a minivan being driven by a 50-year-old Toledo woman was traveling west on Carlton Road near Hudson Township when the driver attempted to pass a vehicle in an area designated as no passing.

The Honda minivan then struck a Chrysler 200 headed east that was being driven by a 27-year-old male from Adrian.

The driver of the Chrysler 200 was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Honda minivan that had been headed westbound was transported to Promedica Toledo for treatment of serious injuries.

The 10-year old boy that had been riding in the minivan was transported from the scene to Bixby Hospital where he succumbed to injuries he sustained in the crash.

Drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this crash.
