"Sierah's Law" will go to Governor's desk

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVG) - A law named after 20-year-old Sierah Joughin, who was abducted and killed in Fulton County two years ago, passed the Senate today with a 24-3 vote.

Senator Randy Gardner says he's optimistic that "Sierah's Law" will be signed into law by Governor Kasich by the end of next week.

If that happens, it will create a registry for repeat violent offenders that could help law enforcement track them down quicker.
