TOLEDO (WTVG) — Two people are dead after a motorcycle hit a car that was turning into the parking lot of an apartment complex shortly after 1:00AM Wednesday on Hill Ave.

Hill Ave was closed for several hours while emergency crews worked to clear the scene and investigate that accident.

According to Toledo Police the motorcycle, driven by Cameron Dale, 28, was traveling East on Hill at a high rate of speed, carrying Kimberly Byram, 31, as a passenger. At the same time, a Dodge Charger was traveling in the opposite direction and made a left turn right in front of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle collided with the Charger, ejecting both driver and passenger. Dale was pronounced dead at the scene. Byram was transported to an area hospital but later died.

The driver of the Charger fled the scene. Police continue to investigate the incident.
