If you ate at the original Tony Packo's on Front Street in the 70's and 80's then you most likely had Jackie Lynch as a waitress.

Lynch worked at the Packo's in East Toledo for 23 years. On Monday, her family and friends surprised her with a birthday party at the restaurant she used to call her second home.

"I'm so surprised, but I knew something was going to happen," said Lynch.

Now, more than 40 years later, Lynch is a living with Dementia.

The owner of the popular Toledo eatery, Tony Packo, and his friend, who takes care of Lynch at Heartland Hospice, knew they had to do something special for Lynch.

"It's a real honor for me and for our family to have someone like that because if it wasn't for her and for everyone else we wouldn't be here for 85 years," said Packo.

"I can't say enough about these people," added Lynch. "You would never know that we were working here. It's just like we're all family."
