Additional security coming to Central Catholic sporting events after shooting
Central Catholic High School will be adding extra security following a shooting incident following the football game against Springfield on Friday night.
A 16-year-old was shot when someone pulled up and then sped away. Police say he was treated and released and was not a student at Central or Springfield.
As a result, Kevin Parkins, Head of School for Central Catholic announced the following security changes.
No book bags or backpacks allowed inside sporting events.
Individuals under the age of 21 will not be permitted in after 7:30pm
All bags will be searched
Additional police before, during and after the game
