Adopt a Highway sign in Indiana creating controversy

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WTVG) - You've probably seen those adopt-a-highway signs, acknowledging the groups who have volunteered to clean up that stretch of road. One sign in Indiana has caused controversy.

Near Indianapolis, the Indiana Chapter of the Satanic Temple has adopted a stretch of highway. Some living in the area are not happy about it.

The Indiana Department of Transportation says they respect freedom of speech and there are no restrictions on what types of groups can adopt roads. They say the sign will stay as long as the group keeps their commitment to cleaning up.
