Suspect arrested in January homicide in Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - One person has been arrested following a homicide in Toledo back in January. According to police, Malik Hall, 23, has been arrested and charged with murder in the shooting death of 17-year-old, Daveyon Maddox at the intersection of Avondale and Ewing on January 3 of this year.

At that time, police responded to reports of a shooting in the area and arrived to find one victim, Montrelle Huggins, 19, suffering from a gunshot wound. They later discovered Hall and Maddox at St. Vincent's Hospital, both also suffering gunshot wounds. Maddox later succumbed to his injuries.

Hall was indicted on murder and other related charges on Tuesday and was arrested in the 1800 block of Ottawa Drive by members of the U.S. Marshal's Task Force and the Toledo Police Department.
