TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - The after effects of unrelenting wind combined with rain are still being felt in Point Place.
Monday evening, the roads were passable again, but homeowners are still cleaning up the debris left behind.
"It's probably been a good half-dozen years since we've had a problem like [this]," Kevin Townsend, a Point Place resident said.
"It's pretty common, but I've never seen it like that," John Barbara, who lives in Point Place told 13abc.
Not far from some of those neighborhoods, you'll find the Bay View Yacht Club; a place used to water, just not in the basement.
"We ended up with about two feet of water in the basement," Steve Suffety, commodore at the club said. "We had a great crew of our members who brought their own pumps and pump us out."
But a lot has changed in the last 24 hours.
Club members are running fans to dry out parts of the building and say this flood was one for the books, but not enough to slow them down.
"We worked hard to get it at least cleaned up. We knew we wanted to make sure we were getting things dried up pretty quickly," Suffety said.
