Imagine Madison Avenue School of Arts honored Gospel singing legend Bishop Rance Allen.
The mayor and city council presented the legend with a proclamation from the City of Toledo.
Administrators dedicated a wing of its performing arts school in the name of Bishop Rance Allen.
"I've been singing over 60 years and it's all been as far as I was concerned a ministry," Allen said. "Then to get to be 71-years old and someone says we want to honor you, it made me want to put my suit on today. It's a wonderful thing and I'm enjoying every bit of it."
Allen, the pastor of New Bethel Church of God in Toledo, has performed for President Barack Obama, and he recorded a song with Snoop Dogg.
