The Black Swamp Arts Festival is happening this weekend: September 6, 7 and 8! For drivers, that means navigating several road closures and parking restrictions in Downtown Bowling Green.

Beginning at 6:00 a.m Thursday, September 5, the eastern portion of City Parking Lot 2 will be closed. Expect the entire lot to be closed starting Friday, September 6 at 6:00 a.m.

At 3:00 a.m on Saturday, September 7, all on-street parking will be prohibited on the following streets:

- Main, between Clay and Pearl

- Prospect, between East Wooster and Clough

- Clay, between Main and Grove

- Clough, between Main and South Prospect

Cars parked in this area after 3:00 a.m will be towed at the owners expense.

At 4:00 a.m Saturday, September 7, Main Street will be closed between Clay and Pearl. Traffic will also be prohibited on Oak, Court, Clough and Washington Streets. Detour signs will be posted for local and truck traffic.

Wooster Street will remain open during the festival for east and westbound traffic.

To avoid navigating the downtown closures, drivers have the option to park at the Wood County Fairgrounds, Meijer or Bowling Green State University and utilize a shuttle service. That shuttle will drop riders off at the Frontier Communications building as well as the Bowling Green Police Division.

Handicap parking will be available in remaining public parking lots and at the City Administrative Services Building.

All closures and parking restrictions will be lifted Sunday evening.
