TOLEDO, OH (WTVG) – Even through this week will be very cold, it is unlikely significant snow will develop for at least the next 8 days. There is a snowstorm that will develop this weekend across the southern part of the country. However, a blocking area of high pressure is expected to develop over the lower Great Lakes. That will force the storm to stay south and move around northwest Ohio. The high pressure will also bring more sunshine back to our forecast on Saturday and Sunday. The long range forecast shows moderating temperatures (probably 40s...low 50s are not out of reach) between December 13th and the 21st. Beyond that, the weather maps show below average temperatures returning late month.
